Penrose Dual Phono Preamp

The Penrose Dual Phono Preamp embeds two stereo RIAA preamplifiers in a compact form factor. The preamplifiers offer a gain of 40 dB for Moving Magnet inputs. The device achieves RIAA equalisation with extremely low error margins and channel disparities. The input stage can be configured with the adequate capacitance and impedance to properly load the connected cartridge.

Size & accessories

The Penrose Dual Phono Preamp comes in two sizes. Both have the same peformance. The Legacy form factor is offered at a reduced price to clear inventory, while the Mini form factor will become the default option in the future.

Both form factors can be ordered with a protective hard case and audio cables.  When buying the Mini variant, the case is large enough to contain the power cord, audio cables and cartridges (not included) as illustrated. When buying the Legacy variant, only the audio cables fit the case in addition to the device.

The case has outside dimensions of 30 cm * 21 cm * 10 cm.

Cartridge customisation

When ordering, you can indicate the type of cartridges that you foresee using with the device. Based on that, we can match the input impedance and capacitance of the device to the best fit for your cartridges. Note that this operation adds a couple of days to the shipping process as we might reach back to you to discuss the best settings depending on your use-case.
